Garner Hotel Ahmedabad Motera Is Planned for 2029
A planned 2029 opening in Ahmedabad extends Garner’s growing Indian hotel portfolio.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed Garner Hotel Ahmedabad Motera, continuing the rapid expansion of its newest midscale conversion brand in India.
The 40-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2029. It will be developed by Devpriya Buildcon and managed by United Hospitality Management India under a franchise agreement.
A long-horizon addition to Ahmedabad
Motera has grown in prominence as a sports and events district, anchored by Narendra Modi Stadium and expanding urban infrastructure. A branded hotel in the area can serve event demand as well as corporate and leisure travel.
The project also illustrates the long lead times behind hotel pipeline announcements. A signing several years before opening is useful evidence of where operators see future demand, but it should not be confused with immediately available accommodation.
Garner’s expansion in India is being driven by a model designed for operational flexibility and relatively straightforward conversion into IHG’s global system.
