On 10 October 2017 Hyatt and ORIX announced Hyatt Centric Kanazawa and Hyatt House Kanazawa, twin towers next to JR Kanazawa Station, due in mid-2020.
On 10 October 2017 Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced, with ORIX Corporation, the first Hyatt hotels in Kanazawa: Hyatt Centric Kanazawa and Hyatt House Kanazawa, a joint development next to JR Kanazawa Station on Japan’s Hokuriku coast. ORIX was to own the hotels under a management agreement with a Hyatt affiliate, and the opening was expected in the middle of 2020.
Hyatt Centric Kanazawa was planned with about 250 rooms in the fully 14-storey left tower. Hyatt House Kanazawa was planned with about 90 apartment-style suites on floors three to seven of the 15-storey right tower.
The station is the arrival point for the shinkansen, so a hotel there suits a visit built around the city’s gardens, craft districts and museums. The city is known for its crafts, among them gold leaf and Kutani porcelain.
