The Restaurant
Jun Hom is an unpretentious, open-air eatery on the beach at Mae Nam, offering alfresco dining in what the Michelin Guide calls a blissful setting. It is a local favourite for affordable, simple Southern Thai fish and seafood, with hearty, modestly priced portions.
The signature is crab in coconut milk curry with shrubby basil, rich with curry spices and herbs; you can ask for wild betel leaves in place of the basil. Everything is cooked to order, so there may be a wait.
