The Restaurant
The Verandah overlooks the Indian Ocean, the pool and the Patio garden, among the hotel’s colonial architecture, and dinner guests can eat outdoors in the sea breeze. The Financial Times of Sri Lanka calls it a calm, scenic place for a relaxed meal and the busiest restaurant at Galle Face Hotel, largely because of the high tea.
It serves buffets from breakfast to dinner, with a menu running from Sri Lankan to international dishes. The weekend high tea buffet was described there as including 37 types of canapé, pancakes made at an action station, sandwiches, pizzas and desserts.
