The Restaurant

1864 Limited Edition is the fine-dining restaurant of Galle Face Hotel, and the hotel presents it as a restaurant, bar, wine cellar and art gallery that showcases Sri Lankan artistry. The cooking is contemporary fusion that gives Sri Lankan ingredients a modern treatment.

The room seats 120, and an adjoining wine cellar called the Animal House takes up to twelve guests for private dining. Time Out describes the setting as an original part of the 1864 building, with exposed brick walls and carved murals.
