Moxy Niseko Village is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2026, adding a 310-room lifestyle hotel to one of Japan’s most international ski destinations.
Marriott lists the property among its current Asia Pacific openings, bringing the Moxy brand’s social, design-led format into a resort market better known for apartments, chalets and increasingly expensive luxury hotels.
A different price and style proposition for Niseko
The 310-room scale is substantial for Niseko and gives the destination a more accessible internationally branded option than many of its recent high-end developments.
The opening also reinforces Niseko’s evolution from a winter ski destination into a broader year-round resort market. International hotel groups are building deeper portfolios in Hokkaido as summer travel, dining and outdoor activities complement the established snow season.
Marriott currently gives a Q3 2026 opening window rather than a precise date.
