Why we recommend it
An Ayurvedic retreat with real architecture and none of the usual spa decoration. Santani is small, quiet and less clinical than the large Thai retreats, and it works equally well for a structured programme or a few days of rest between the cultural sites and the coast.
Location
In the hills about an hour east of Kandy and roughly four hours by road from Colombo airport, on a forested estate above a river valley.
